About Us

In 2020, while our world was in upheaval due the global COVID-19 pandemic, racial tensions increased throughout the United States following the murder of George Floyd. As everyone in the nation became more acutely aware of our unresolved racial issues, here in Annapolis, we began to see how these same issues were significantly impacting our children. This is how One Annapolis was born. One Annapolis, Inc. was started to create partnerships and spaces that empower and uplift children and families in the city of Annapolis; especially marginalized, underrepresented Black voices. Through strategic partnerships centered around advocacy, environmental stewardship, youth empowerment, and more we believe that we can create a place for our children that has never existed before in this city. We believe that we can begin to build a legacy of peace and unity, instead of strife and hatred. We believe that our children deserve spaces that liberate them from the shackles of Annapolis' past. We believe in One Annapolis.
