Housing Behavior Modification Diversion Program (BMDP)
About
The Housing Behavior Modification Diversion Program (BMDP) created by People Builders Consulting is a comprehensive educational program that will help to decrease the number of residents not in compliance with their lease agreements and/or in danger of eviction. In accordance with HUD’s strategic goals and objectives, this program will also help to reduce homelessness and will invest in the success of each community.
Goals
#1: Gain a practical and thorough knowledge of the fair housing laws, tenant rights and responsibilities, and the lease agreement for each property.

#2: Ensure that a family’s home is clean, safe and well maintained.

#3: Understanding how to set a family budget and budget management coupled with discipline strategies to maintain, grow and set attainable goals for saving money.

#4: Becoming productive and responsible members of their communities.
Vision
The Housing BMDP addresses negative mindsets, habits, and attitudes through a mindset diversion plan that aims to transition participants from an "I can't" attitude to an "I can" attitude. By targeting learned behaviors that lead to negative mindsets, the program seeks to foster better decision-making and positive outcomes for participants.
