Program Summary
The 21st Century Community Learning Center at Annapolis Middle School served middle school students and families with family navigation services, family engagement programs, after-school programming, and a summer bridge program. Utilizing the Community Hubs model developed by People Builder's Consulting, our Community Navigation Specialists were assigned to families within designated communities, providing weekly family navigation services and wrap around support. Our program also boasted a Community Engagement Specialist. The Community Engagement Specialist managed and coordinated the community navigation specialists, planned academic activities, and served as the site coordinator for our afterschool program. We also partnered with two awesome organizations to help with our after school and summer programming.
This program concluded in June 2026, after 2 successful years serving the students and families at Annapolis Middle School. We are so proud of the progress our students made in such a short time and the relationships we were able to build with our families are permanent. We are excited and grateful for this opportunity, as this serves as launching pad for our expanded out-of-school time programs. Thank you to everyone who supported CCLC. Program Goals

To boost family and community engagement through shared responsibility and accountability.
Objective: Parent and community engagement during school and out-of-school time have increased by 50%. (More volunteers in the classroom, during afterschool programs, and more participants attending family engagement events)

To boost academic and social-emotional success for all program participants
Objective: 60% of students will demonstrate growth in reading and math assessments and 50% of students demonstrate an improvement in teacher-reported engagement in learning.

To increase access to wrap around services and resources
Objectives: 100% of participating families report feeling more supported, self-sufficient, and knowledgeable about available resources in our city, county, and state; and 100% of participating families report feeling more confident and knowledgeable about navigating the educational system, and being more engaged in their child's education.
