Program Summary
The 21st Century Community Learning Center at Annapolis Middle School serves up middle school students and families with family navigation services, family engagement programs, after-school programming, and a summer bridge program. Utilizing the Community Hubs model developed by People Builder's Consulting, our Community Navigation Specialist is assigned to families within designated communities, providing weekly family navigation services and wrap around support. Our program also boasts a Community Engagement Specialist. The Community Engagement Specialist will manage and coordinate the community navigation specialists, plan academic activities, and serve as the site coordinator for our afterschool program. We have also partnered with two awesome organizations to help with our after school and summer programming.
Partnerships
BPPP uses theatre to encourage empathy, kindness and other social-emotional skills with our students.
Facilitates a week long Summer Bridge program for all summer program participants.
Program Goals

To boost family and community engagement through shared responsibility and accountability.
Objective: Parent and community engagement during school and out-of-school time have increased by 50%. (More volunteers in the classroom, during afterschool programs, and more participants attending family engagement events)

To boost academic and social-emotional success for all program participants
Objective: 60% of students will demonstrate growth in reading and math assessments and 50% of students demonstrate an improvement in teacher-reported engagement in learning.

To increase access to wrap around services and resources
Objectives: 100% of participating families report feeling more supported, self-sufficient, and knowledgeable about available resources in our city, county, and state; and 100% of participating families report feeling more confident and knowledgeable about navigating the educational system, and being more engaged in their child's education.
